Since 1982, Musica Studio has been owned and operated by Nancy Eckert. In addition to teaching piano, she has been a math teacher and a public school music teacher. For the past 10 years, she has served as a Math Specialist in the Gwinnett County School System. 

Ms. Eckert studied piano at the University of Maryland and earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance at the University of New Mexico. She had the unique opportunity to study with world renowned pianist Evelyne Brancart, who currently holds the position of Professor of Piano at Indiana University. In addition, Ms. Eckert has earned a B.S. degree in Education with a concentration in music, and a Masters and Specialist degrees in Mathematics Education. 

Ms. Eckert is a member of the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC), the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and associated state and local organizations. She currently serves as treasurer of the Georgia Federation of Music Clubs (GFMC). Formerly, she served as State President of the New Mexico Federation of Music Clubs (NMFMC), State Festival Chairperson for the NMFMC, and President of the Albuquerque Music Teachers Association.
